For Mustang Month, Luis Mendez told us about the car he has wanted since he was a teenager. It is his story, so here it is in his words.

My dream car has always been a 1965 Mustang. I had one when I was 15 years old, but I had to let it go before I got the chance to really fix it up. I was finally able to get another one and this time I've been building it the right way, at my own pace.

I'm a father of two kids, working a law enforcement career, and putting this car together on a budget whenever time allows. It's not a rushed build, it's something I've wanted for a long time, and I'm enjoying every step of it.
